Tenth Commandment

Do Not Desire Your Neighbor’s Possessions

Unlike the first nine commandments, the 10th turns inward to focus on human desire. Prohibiting people from coveting (or desiring) one another’s things, this instruction frees people from greed and strengthens relational bonds.

How would you describe the difference between good human desire and restless, insatiable craving? If coveting happens mostly in secret, how can it harm relationships?
